12-Month Limited Commercial Warranty — Phonio

This Commercial Warranty (the "Warranty") is offered by Phonio Technologies Inc. ("Phonio", "we", "us") for refurbished devices purchased at https://phonio.ca.

Warranty Period

The Warranty covers your device for 12 months from the date of delivery (based on the carrier's proof of delivery).

What the Warranty Covers

Subject to the exclusions, the Warranty covers functional defects attributable to a hardware problem or a defect occurring during normal use, for example:

  • Device that no longer powers on or restarts abnormally;
  • Screen or touch issues not caused by an impact;
  • Speaker, microphone, camera, button, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, or charging issues (provided there is no external or liquid damage).

  • Damage caused by liquids, moisture, corrosion, or excessive heat;
  • Misuse, negligence, unauthorized modifications, or improper use;
  • Repairs or labor performed by an unauthorized third party, or the use of unauthorized parts;
  • Software issues, third-party applications, account locks, viruses, or data loss;
  • Accessories (unless otherwise stated) and consumables (e.g., battery performance degradation related to normal wear).

The Warranty does not cover:

Important Conditions

  • The device must be the exact unit sold (IMEI/serial number will be verified).
  • The customer must disable all Activation Locks (iCloud, Google, or MDM) before sending the device in for service.
  • We reserve the right to request photos or videos and perform diagnostic testing.

Solutions (At Our Reasonable Discretion)

If the claim is accepted, Phonio may, at its discretion:

  • Repair the device; or
  • Replace it with an identical or equivalent refurbished device; or
  • Issue a refund (full or partial) if repair or replacement is not possible within a reasonable timeframe.

Delivery (Warranty Claims)

For approved claims within Canada, we may provide a prepaid return shipping label. If a claim is denied (e.g., liquid/impact damage, locks not removed, non-compliant device), the customer may be responsible for all delivery costs.

Legal Warranty (Quebec) — Remains Applicable

This Commercial Warranty is in addition to and does not limit the warranties provided by law. In Quebec, legal warranties apply, notably regarding fitness for purpose, reasonable durability, and latent defects.

  • Troubleshooting steps you have already tried (e.g., restarting, software updates, etc.).
